Description
"Linear Equations in two variables" is a part of the syllabus of Class IX CBSE Board. The course comprises of the concepts of linear equations which include its representation, its solutions, graphical representation and equations whose solutions lie on lines parallel to X-axis and Y-axis.

After the clarification of concepts, all varieties of questions from NCERT book of class IX have been explained.

Key learnings from the course are:

A linear equation in two variables can be expressed in the form ax+by+c=0 wherein a, b and c are real numbers. Further a and b are both not zero.

A linear equation in one variable has one and only one solution

A linear equation in two variables has infinite number of solutions

Graphical representation of a linear equation in two variables is a straight line.

All the points lying on the straight line graph of the linear equation are solutions of the equation.

All the solutions of the linear equation lie on the straight line graph of the equation.

Those points which do not lie on the straight line graph are not the solutions of the equation.

Graph of the equation y=px is a straight line passing through the origin.

Graph of the equation y=0 is x-axis and that of x=0 if Y-axis.

Graph of y=a is a line parallel to x-axis and that of x=a is a line parallel to y-axis
