Students will learn how to lay-in the figure, how to simplify and design the anatomy, and how to use light, shadow, and edge control to create 3-dimensional form in their drawings. In this fourth lesson, Mark will discuss the proportions of the male and female figure, as well as analyze the Reilly abstraction of the head. He will also demonstrate laying in features of the head using different planes and controlling value through laying in various tones.
