Me than a year back, acle started offering Always Free tier with its acle Cloud Infrastructure service, popularly known as OCI. With this one can create provision compute instance - meaning a Linux VM instance free of cost. At this point of time 2 compute instance are allowed. So one can use to same to build a Proof of concept (POC) f some application could be f learning purpose & expling purpose without having a physical machine of Linux (on Cloud). A point to mote here is many system particularly those on IOT uses Linux based OS these LINUX VM can even be used to host website application, which mean it does not require separate hosting services, which involves cost.
