The aim of this course is the development of the process of creating characters for film and game cinematics, including all aspects of composition and narrative. Each week of the course will be devoted to a particular aspect of the process of creating a model character and consistently create a completely finished model.

We will start with an analysis of reference materials and move on to the basic sculpting. In the next step I will create solid elements, clothes and other accessories needed to finish high poly model. Next proceed to the advanced techniques of coloring and shading surface. Thus we will elaborate color, pick up materials for metal and other types of items. At the end of the course we will discuss the theory of color, working with the renderer and post processing.
For the successful completion of the course you should have a basic knowledge of Zbrush, Maya or 3ds Max


Week 1 - Creating a basic form of the character models
Week 2 - The head of the character
Week 3 - The body and clothes
Week 4 - Create a solid-state elements
Week 5 - Mixing of all elements in a single composition
Week 6 - Drawing textures
Week 7 - Simultaneous textures (continued)
Week 8 - Applying textures to the meshes
Week 9 - Rigging and basic lighting
Week 10 - Finalizing the project
