Approaching groups of people at an event for photos can feel a little unnatural at first. I talk about some of the things I've learnt about people while doing event photography, and I hope this helps you with your approach.
The first time I used a flash was in a nightclub. I was very nervous to use one, so I had avoided it up until that point. Using it completely transformed my photography.
