Requirements
It helps if you know Quality Assurance basics and some Quality tools. Curiosity and willingness to learn are essential.
Description
This Online Course The Golden Cycle 2.0 Udemy edition includes 47 small videos in over 2 hours, quizzes and additional material which teach all you need to successfully solve Quality product and production problems - short-term, shop-floor and sustainable. It starts with Course #1 with 12 professional videos about "ORGANIZE the Process Environment". This is Step #1 of the so-called The Golden Cycle, an industry approved approach by myself which goes deeper than Kaizen and is easier to apply and to learn than Six Sigma. We introduce Kaizen's PDCA , Six Sigma's DMAIC cycle and The Golden Cycle. So, in this section, and that's different to many other courses, you learn what's needed in advance to set up a most effective and efficient environment to solve quality problems best. You learn how to handle conflicts or to set up commitments with some leadership skills. As well what's a Stakeholder Analysis. How to build a shop-floor Working and Meeting Place for Quality issues and what's essential for an effective Reporting and Visualisation. Some Does and Don'ts complete the first part of the program in about 34:44 minutes.Course #2 dives deep in step #2 ANALYZE the Problem with great Quality Tools". More than 15 Quality Tools and Methods are introduced in 19 videos in 44:35 minutes and are enriched with some Quizzes and some additional documents for your own use. We start with Tools like a Quality (Failure Process) Matrix and a Target-Actual Chart on level 1, go on with a Pareto Diagram (level 2) and a One pager or 8D report for each failure (level 3). As well for each failure the counter measure effectiveness is visualised in another Target-Actual Chart for each top failure (level 4). On the deepest level many Analysis Tools are introduced: Check sheet, Histogram, Cause-and-Effect and SPC Diagrams, Process Capability, Correlation Diagram, MSA (Measurement System Analysis), Hypothesis Testing, DoE and FMEA.Course #3 continues with the next steps #3 to #5 of the most effective and efficient Failure Elimination Approach I know: "SOLVE the Problem incl. Technical Support", "IMPLEMENT Series Measures & Success Control" and "STANDARDIZE the Solution & prevent Failures". 16 mp4 videos in 45:53 minutes and other documents teach not only the before mentioned steps, but, give some insights in real failure elimination. Therefore 5 references from die casting to broaching and inductive hardening, to threat cutting over bonding to heat treatment show insights of possible root causes and how to find them. Some recommendations I make as well you receive seven Quality Tools in MS Excel (see lecture 22). Let me know your experience and feedback.
