The Deltares institute development team is pleased to announce the availability of Delft3D Flexible Mesh Suite 2020.02. This software can simulate storm surges, hurricanes, tsunamis, detailed flows and water levels, waves, sediment transport and morphology, water quality and ecology, and is capable of handling the interactions between these processes.

Overview of new features in the Delft3D FM Suite 2020.02 (1.6.1.47098, December 2019)
DIMR importer for D-Flow FM and Integrated Models
Based on requests to support workflows in the file-based system, DIMR importer for the Delft3D Flexible Mesh has been implemented.
From this version onwards, it is possible to import Integrated Model with (1) D-Flow FM or (2) D-Flow FM + D-Real Time Control from a DIMR configuration. This should facilitate seamless inspection and modification of Linux simulations within the Delft3D Flexible Mesh User Interface.
Please note that older configurations (older than version 2019.02) may not work out of the box. The D-Real Time Control files, and others, created with versions before 2019.02, do not contain the information necessary to correctly import these configurations.
Additionally, logic to inform about deprecated or unknown features/functionality detected during import, has been added. These messages are grouped within the message box.
Importing sample set and data filtering improvements
A default "No Data Value" for importers can be defined in File -> Options.
Additionally, support for No Data Values within Legend Properties has been added. This allows omission of specific values that might be present within a sample data set, such that they are not visualised on the map.
The working directory is fully supported within D-Water Quality
In this release there is a significant improvement to the way D-Water Quality models are run and saved. From this version onwards users can specify their Working directory with temporary, current model status via our software Options menu. Furthermore, any files produced by the computational core in the working directory, are copied to the selected save location upon saving. This should helpwhen inspecting model results.
Please note that the working directory must be outside of the project save directory to prevent file locks on Windows.
