Cleaning a timelapse is now a huge part of my post-production workflow. It's not because I finally exported the video from the image sequence that the timelapse is ready to be shared or sold online. Most of the time, it requires some extra work on After Effects to clean a bunch of little things that make the timelapse look ugly and unfinished.

So, if you can take the time to clean all those little details, you'll see the quality of you work improve fast. It's not very hard to use masks, effects or compositions in After Effects, it's time consuming! But in this class, I will show you that cleaning a timelapse doesn't have to take you too much time. I will show you some advanced stabilization techniques that will work 100% of the time. Then I will show you how to remove any missing and blurry images without actually deleting the frames. I will also show you how to quickly clean your timelapse from birds, planes or any other weird things showing up. I will show you how to remove dust spots with a sky full of clouds.

Another big problem you can come across is sun flicker. It happens when you change your camera settings during a sunrise or a sunset with the sun in your shot. The size of the very bright area (clipping) will change and create something that I call sun flicker. I will teach you how to remove it and end up with a completely clean and smooth sunrise or sunset timelapse!

Finally, I will show you how you can use most of those tools with a regular editing program such as Premiere Pro. In order to show you a complete cleaning session, I will end this class by cleaning a timelapse from A to Z with everything I taught you in the past videos.
