ISO 14001:2015 is a standard for creating an Environmental Managemet System. These are used to help organizations create a system that will allow them migitgate their environmental impact. The whole organization needs to be aware of the EMS and what role they have to play. There might be a number of environmental objectives that a business wants to meet, but they have to organize and assess which ones they'll go for. EMS involves a process of continual improvement. The work is never over. The ultimate goal is to move from away from controlling the environmental impacts caused by indvidual activities and more towards strat goals.
