SideFX has released a new sneak peek for Houdini FX 18.0.391, the next update to its 3D animation and FX software withen delivers a powerful and accessible 3D experience with its procedural node-based workflow, while providing tools for simulating fluids, destruction fx, pyro fx, grains, cloth and crowds.

- Fixed a few look issues in the Network Editor's Find Dialog when the Global UI Scale preference was set to greater than 1.
- Fixed the floating help browser window so that it automatically restores itself from a minimized state when help is requested.
* The plugin will now marshal the name of the input 3ds Max node into
Houdini as a detail attribute with the name "hemax_node_name".
* If an input 3ds Max node belongs to a group, the plugin will now create a
point group in Houdini to represent the group membership.
- Fixed a bug in directory file choosers where double-clicking a directory entry to dive into that directory entry would still leave the file field set so that hitting Accept would append that directory name again. Fixed a related bug in directory file choosers where you couldn't click Accept with an empty file field.
- Fixed a crash when the OpenColorIO view was changed and the transform internally switched from a 3D LUT to a 1D LUT.
- Fixed "Sub class of QObject not inheriting QObject!?" errors when launching the Python 3 build of graphical Houdini.
