My greatest inspiration for contemporary portrait is Vanity Fair magazine. As I learned to market my business better over the years I used to say "I am a contemporary portrait photographer, with a fashion magazine style."
Everything about what I wanted to communicate and project was in this sentence. in the last 10 years Vanity Fair has stepped forward with some of the best celebrity style portraits I have ever seen.

I love the intensity of this lighting I love the dominant light being from above and I particularly love how the XL umbrella feathers the light down onto the background.
