It is differ from AutoCAD in such a way that it is based on Parametric which means all the dimensions are Parametric which affect the actual part. For example let us consider a line drawn in AutoCAD and creo both.. Now if we change the dimensions of the line then in AutoCAD it will not affect the line but in creo it will also change the line.. That's the Parametric.

Creo is very powerful tool for part design and assembly.. But it is weak in analysis and cam, so creo is used mostly for part modeling.
Creo parametric is upgraded version for Pro-E software used for modelling,analysis and simulation. It is widely used for product design and development in automobile firms and manufacturing plants.
Apart from this there are other similar softwares like Catia,Solidworks.
